Job summary
Petour Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a field sales and merchandising specialist to visit pet shops and retail outlets in Penang, promote Petour products, and build strong customer relationships.
You will handle enquiries, quotations, orders, deliveries, and payments, follow up on repeat orders, and ensure in-store displays and planograms are followed across outlets. Willingness to travel 100% is required; own transport and driving licence preferred.
Qualifications
- Fresh graduates welcome; no prior experience required.
- Training will be provided.
- Minimum SPM or Diploma in Marketing, Business, Sales, Retail Management, or related field.
- Experience in sales, merchandising, retail, promoter, roadshow, telemarketing, customer service, or field sales is a plus.
- Pet industry or FMCG/retail experience is a plus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.
- Confident and outgoing; able to approach new customers.
- Willing to travel 100%; owns transport and valid driving licence.
- Passionate about pets and pet care.
Responsibilities
- Visit pet shops and retail outlets to identify new business opportunities.
- Promote Petour products to shop owners and retail customers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers; follow up on enquiries, quotations, orders, deliveries, and payments.
- Follow up with existing customers to secure repeat orders.
- Negotiate and close sales orders to meet targets.
- Monitor payments and assist with collections.
- Ensure products are displayed and stocked according to planogram.
- Conduct regular outlet visits to check placement, stock, and promotions.
- Coordinate with store staff to replenish stock and minimize out-of-stock scenarios.
- Set up promotional displays and educate staff on promos and features.
- Monitor competitors and sales performance; identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain records of visits, orders, stock movement, and outlet conditions; prepare reports.

Visit pet shops, retail outlets, and potential customers regularly to identify new business opportunities.
Introduce and promote Petour products to pet shop owners and retail customers.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
Follow up on customer enquiries, quotations, orders, deliveries, and payments.
Follow up with existing customers to secure repeat orders.
Negotiate and close sales orders to achieve individual and company sales targets.
Monitor customer payments and assist with collection follow-ups.
Provide after-sales service and resolve customer issues professionally.
Identify opportunities to increase sales and expand the customer base.
Ensure all Petour products are properly displayed, well-stocked, and arranged according to the required planogram across retail outlets.
Conduct regular outlet visits to check product placement, shelf condition, price tags, stock levels, and promotional materials.
Monitor product availability and stock movement at outlet level.
Coordinate with store personnel to ensure timely replenishment and minimize out-of-stock or overstock situations.
Set up promotional displays and ensure proper visibility of in-store campaigns.
Educate store staff on current promotions, product features, and key selling points.
Monitor competitors’ products, pricing, promotions, and merchandising activities.
Monitor sales performance and identify growth opportunities within each outlet.
Maintain accurate records of customer visits, orders, sales activities, stock movement, and outlet conditions.
Prepare regular sales, merchandising, and stock reports with photos for management review.
Provide feedback and recommendations to improve sales, product visibility, and outlet performance.
Perform other sales and merchandising duties as assigned by management.
No prior experience required – fresh graduates and candidates with no sales or merchandising experience are welcome to apply.
Training will be provided.
Minimum SPM / Diploma in Marketing, Business, Sales, Retail Management, or a related field.
Experience in sales, merchandising, retail, promoter, roadshow, telemarketing, customer service, or field sales is an added advantage.
Experience in the pet industry or FMCG/retail industry is a plus.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.
Confident, outgoing, and comfortable approaching new customers.
Strong willingness to learn, sell, and achieve targets.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Comfortable with outdoor fieldwork and frequent travelling.
Passionate about pets and the pet care industry is a plus.
Possess own transport and a valid driving licence.
Basic Salary: RM2,000 – RM2,500 per month
Car Allowance: RM300 per month
KPI Incentive: Additional incentive based on individual and company performance
Total Earning Potential: RM3,800+ per month depending on KPI achievement
