Rentokil Initial Kota Kinabalu is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to lead a high-performing field-based team in Sabah. You will coach, motivate, and coach the team while driving new business, client retention, and cross-selling opportunities across 11 major cities nationwide.

The role demands data-driven decision making, strong market insight, and the ability to coordinate with service and operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of successful sales management or supervisory experience.
• A Diploma or Degree in any field is a plus.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, own vehicle, and be a Malaysian citizen or have resident status.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop a high-performing sales team through field coaching and feedback.
• Lead strategic growth by driving new business, client retention, pricing, and cross-selling; forecast using data.
• Own branch revenue and ensure smooth collaboration with service and operations to resolve issues and close major deals.
• Conduct on-site inspections and lead from the front to secure new business and support team activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate entry of daily sales activities into the system and coordinate with service and finance teams.

How You'll Make an Impact

1. Team Leadership & Coaching:

• Mentor & Develop: Act as a true "player-coach," spending significant time in the field to provide real-time coaching, feedback and support.
• Inspire & Align: Lead high-energy team meetings, translating company strategy into a clear, actionable sales plan.
• Drive Performance: Develop your team into sales superstars, managing their activity, pipeline, and skill gaps to ensure success.

2. Strategic Growth & Revenue:

• Own Your Market: Take full accountability for the branch's top-line revenue, driving new business acquisition, client retention, price increases, and cross-selling opportunities.
• Be a Data-Driven Strategist: Use sales data to review pipelines, identify winning strategies, and forecast accurately.
• Become the Market Expert: Keep a pulse on market trends and competitors, sharpening our unique selling propositions.

3. Customer & Operational Excellence:

• Champion Customer Relationships: Personally visit key clients to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure we are delivering service that delights.
• Act as the Key Problem-Solver: Be the central point of contact for complex service issues. You will be hands-on, liaising directly with clients and internal departments (like Service and Operations) to manage challenges and see them through to a successful resolution.
• Quarterback Major Deals: Guide your team in coordinating, negotiating, and closing complex contracts, ensuring a smooth handover to operations.
• Be Hands-On: Be agile and ready to conduct on-site inspections (yes, sometimes under the sun!) to support your team and secure new business.
• Drive Accountability: Take responsibility by ensuring your team's daily sales activities are accurately and promptly updated in our system.
• Collaborate to Win: Work closely with service and finance teams to ensure a seamless customer experience, including assisting with collections.

What It Takes to Succeed:

• Proven Leadership: At least 5 years of successful sales management or supervisory experience. A Diploma or Degree in any field is a plus.
