Job summary

WEIDMULLER INTERFACE (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. in Subang Jaya is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive sales performance across key accounts and market segments.

You will manage, develop, and expand client relationships, coordinate with marketing, operations and technical teams, and report to senior management. The role requires 7–8 years of industrial sales experience, 2–3 years in leadership, and a background in Industrial Automation or PLC/IIoT solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline (e.g. Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation).
• 7–8 years of industrial sales experience in relevant sectors.
• 2–3 years in a sales management or leadership role.
• Experience in Industrial Automation, Electrical Connectivity, PLC, IIoT or related solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within assigned accounts and territories.
• Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders, acting as the primary contact for account management and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct regular client visits and business reviews to understand customer needs and identify upselling opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver tailored sales proposals, presentations, and quotations.
• Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategy and growth opportunities.
• Maintain accurate sales records and pipeline management through CRM; report to senior management.

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Sales Manager to join WEIDMULLER INTERFACE (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. in Subang Jaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in driving our sales performance and business growth across key accounts and market segments. As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and expanding our client relationships to achieve and exceed organizational targets. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our commercial success and establish yourself as a key player in our regional sales strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within assigned accounts and territories
• Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for account management and customer satisfaction
• Conduct regular client visits and business reviews to understand customer needs, identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, and ensure customer retention
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, presentations, and quotations tailored to client requirements and business objectives
• Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform strategic planning and identify growth opportunities
• Maintain accurate sales records, customer data, and pipeline management through CRM systems, providing regular reports to senior management
• Collaborate with internal departments including marketing, operations, and technical teams to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to achieve profitable outcomes whilst maintaining strong customer relationships
• Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to enhance brand visibility and generate business leads

What we’re looking for

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 7-8 years of industrial sales experience.
• At least 2-3 years in a sales management or leadership position.
• Experience in Industrial Automation, Electrical Connectivity, Control Systems, PLC, IIoT, Industrial Networking, or related solutions.
