Job summary

Randstad Malaysia, based in Penang, seeks a junior sales professional to lead our plastics division in the Northern region. You will balance relationship management with active hunting for new business opportunities among core industrial clients.

The role requires 1 year of sales/marketing experience; familiarity with plastics or chemical industries is a strong plus. You will engage in corporate entertaining and cross-border discussions to grow the client base and optimize cost structures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage and expand distribution of plastics resins, polymers, and compounding materials to regional manufacturers.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying new factory accounts in the Northern region.
• Act as commercial consultant, assisting factories with cost simulations and managing cross-border shipping terms (Incoterms).
• Monitor division credit limits, assess customer financial standing, and ensure timely collections to prevent bad debts.
• Coordinate with regional suppliers and clients through corporate entertainment including business lunches and dinners.

Skills & Experience Required

• Energetic, independent, and highly motivated to manage regional client accounts with minimal supervision.
• Fully comfortable with corporate socializing, including meeting clients and suppliers over business lunches and dinners.
