Job summary

PCTECH Computer Systems in Butterworth, Penang, seeks a Corporate Sales Executive (IT Solutions & Hardware) to engage SME owners and IT managers with a consultative approach, understanding their IT infrastructure needs and presenting tailored hardware solutions.

You will collaborate with our technical team to deliver proposals, build long-term relationships, and leverage a tiered commission structure. A 5-day work week, training, and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Requires good communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin/Hokkien a plus.
• Own transport and valid driving license for local client visits (Penang region).
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and high integrity.

Responsibilities

• Actively prospect and develop new business opportunities within the SME sector in Penang.
• Engage with clients consultatively to understand their IT hardware and infrastructure needs.
• Prepare and present tailored technical project proposals and quotations.
• Maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing corporate accounts.
• Collaborate with internal technical team to ensure smooth solution delivery.

The Role:

This is not just a regular retail sales job. You will be a Consultative Sales Specialist, working directly with SME business owners, IT managers, and decision-makers to understand their business challenges and recommend the right IT infrastructure, hardware, and corporate technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively prospect and develop new business opportunities within the SME sector in Penang.
• Engage with clients consultatively to understand their IT hardware and infrastructure needs.
• Prepare and present tailored technical project proposals and quotations.
• Maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing corporate accounts.
• Collaborate closely with our internal technical team to ensure smooth solution delivery for clients.

Requirements:

• Experience Level: Open to all. Experienced corporate sales professionals are highly welcome, but fresh graduates/passionate individuals looking to break into corporate sales are encouraged to apply (training will be provided).
• Skills/Knowledge: A basic understanding or strong interest in IT hardware, networking, or general technology is a major advantage.
• Language: Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak Mandarin/Hokkien is a strong plus to better serve our diverse local SME client base.
• Mobility: Must possess own transport and a valid driving license for local client visits (Penang region).
• Attitude: Self-motivated, resourceful, and possesses a high level of integrity.
