ABS Engineering & Trading is seeking a motivated and passionate Sales Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong engineering background and hands-on sales experience who are eager to develop new markets, build long-term customer relationships, and deliver technical solutions across diverse industries.

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop new accounts and open new markets
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, explaining products or services to customer and prospective customer
• Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements including planning and modifying products to meet customer needs
• Helps clients to solve problems with installed equipment
• Develop and maintaining good relationship with prospective customers, new customers and existing customers
• Persuade customer on the excellence of our products and services
• Establish a customer database and relevant tools to manage sales activities, opportunities and pipeline.
• Prepare monthly sales report, annual sale target and yearly market planning
• Meet established sales quota and revenue goals

Qualification & Requirement

• Diploma, Degree, or Postgraduate qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in the sales of engineering or industrial products

Strong knowledge or exposure to engineering product applications, such as:

• Centrifugal Pumps
• Gear / Lobe Pumps
• Vacuum Pumps
• Compressors
• Plate Heat Exchangers
• Actuators
• Valves
• Tubes and Fittings

Experience serving general industries, including but not limited to:

• Pharmaceutical
• Semiconductor
• Printing & Packaging
• Food & Beverage
• Personal Care
• Brewery
• Palm Oil & Oleochemical
• Chemical Industries

• Ability to deliver effective technical presentations and combine technical knowledge with strong selling skills
• Good command of English (spoken and written)
• Strong pricing, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Possesses own transport and is willing to travel throughout Peninsular Malaysia
