Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced SalesDesigner to join our growing Interior Design & Build business. The role focuses on developing client relationships, understanding project requirements and driving projects from enquiry to confirmation.

Ideal candidates are commercially minded designers who enjoy blending design, client consultation and business development while coordinating with design, project and operations teams to deliver practical and market-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in client consultation, presentation and proposal preparation.
• Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, Design, Business or related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Identify and follow up on new business opportunities within the commercial interior design and fit-out market.
• Meet clients to understand their business needs, space requirements, design preferences and budget.
• Conduct site visits and gather project requirements.
• Prepare design concepts, space planning and design proposals based on client requirements.
• Present design concepts, proposals and quotations to clients.
• Manage the sales process from lead generation, client consultation, design proposal, quotation, negotiation to project confirmation.
• Follow up with clients and actively convert leads into confirmed projects.
• Prepare quotations and negotiate pricing, project scope and commercial terms.
• Work closely with the design, project and operations teams to ensure proposed solutions are practical and commercially viable.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular updates on project progress and opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and other relevant stakeholders.
• Keep up to date with market trends, competitors and commercial interior design developments.

• Experiencehandlingoffice,retail,F&B,hospitality,showroomorothercommercialprojectswillbeanadvantage.
• Strongexperienceinclientconsultation,presentationandproposalpreparation.
• Abletounderstandclientrequirementsandtranslatethemintopracticaldesignsolutions.
• Comfortablehandlingquotations,pricingdiscussionsandnegotiations.
• Strongcommunication,presentationandinterpersonalskills.
• Goodcommercialawarenessandabilitytobalancedesignrequirements,clientexpectationsandprojectbudget.
• Abletoworkindependentlyaswellascollaboratewithinternalteams.
• ProficientinrelevantdesignsoftwaresuchasAutoCAD,SketchUp,3Drenderingsoftwareorsimilar.
