You will oversee daily and monthly data ingestion feeds, run programmatic reconciliation scripts, troubleshoot data anomalies before they impact calculations, and support continuous improvement of data pipelines in close coordination with global stakeholders.
Responsibilities and Impact
- Operational Pipeline Monitoring & Ingestion Health Manage the day-to-day execution and monitoring of critical data ingestion pipelines, checking table populations across billing systems, CRM feeds, and target tables.
- Execute script-based pre-calculation validation checks daily to identify failed data syncs, malformed records, null foreign keys, and currency conversion discrepancies.
- Triage pipeline failures and data ingestion errors in real‑time, working closely with global data architecture and systems teams to implement permanent fixes.
- Execute automated end‑of‑month data loads and baseline calculations within rigorous month‑end close timetables, ensuring zero downtime or processing bottlenecks.
- Programmatic Reconciliation & Anomaly Eradication Run, maintain, and enhance automated Python, Alteryx, and SQL reconciliation routines to verify that transactional revenue matches commission calculation inputs down to the penny.
- Detect and eliminate data discrepancies including duplicate order lines, inactive employee crediting, split‑credit percentages exceeding 100%, and unmapped sales territories.
- Conduct root cause investigations on data bugs and transaction discrepancies, creating bug tickets with reproducible steps and proposing database‑level logic fixes.
- Partner with regional Revenue Operations and Technology teams to clean invalid source‑system entries directly at the point of origin.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & Controls Maintenance Maintain and execute documented operational runbooks and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all recurring data processes, ensuring adherence to strict operational SLAs.
- Enforce SOX data controls and validation protocols across all operational cycles, ensuring that every calculation cycle is fully backed by auditable data logs and reconciliation sign‑offs.
- Standardize monthly adjustment handling processes, validating that all manual overrides meet documentation standards and programmatic validation rules before entry into production tables.
- Reporting, KPI Telemetry & Regional Partner Support Build and publish operational data health scorecards and pipeline status reports using Power BI and Excel, highlighting key error rates and data latency metrics to leadership.
- Partner with Commissions and Finance teams to research complex payment discrepancies, providing detailed transaction extraction files and mathematical logic walkthroughs.
- Provide continuous technical analysis and feedback to UK/US systems architects on recurring source data defects to drive systematic, long‑term schema and pipeline enhancements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 5+ years of technical experience in data operations, financial systems support, sales compensation analysis, or data pipeline validation.
- Advanced SQL: Proven ability to independently write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries involving aggregations, subqueries, and multi‑table joins.
- Automation Tooling: Hands‑on experience building or maintaining automation scripts using Python (Pandas), Alteryx, or advanced VBA/macros.
- Analytical Problem Solving: Exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail when working with complex financial datasets.
- Reporting Tools: Experience creating operational dashboards and reporting data in Power BI.
- Global Collaboration: Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) with experience and willing to collaborate across global time zones (US, UK, and APAC).
