Job summary

MySino Global Sdn Bhd is seeking a counter sales associate for a beauty counter at Parkson - Gurney Plaza in Penang. You will greet customers, recommend products, share the brand story, and ensure a clean, inviting counter experience.

Responsibilities include stock replenishment, promotions, and achieving sales targets while delivering excellent customer service. Weekend and holiday shifts are required; basic English is expected, with Mandarin/Malay as an advantage.

Qualifications

• Experience in beauty/skincare or FMCG is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain counter cleanliness, displays, testers, price tags and promotions.
• Handle stock replenishment, inventory checks, transfers, and arrangement.
• Monitor stock levels, testers, near-expiry items, and report issues.
• Support promotional campaigns, events, and new product launches.
• Coordinate with Parkson staff for smooth counter operations.
• Aim to meet individual and counter sales targets.
• Collect customer feedback and monitor market trends.

Job description

Manage the daily operations of the counter at Parkson - Gurney Plaza.

Greet customers proactively and provide professional product recommendations based on their needs.

Introduce the brand story, product benefits, usage methods, and suitable skincare solutions to customers.

Deliver excellent customer service and build strong relationships to encourage repeat purchases.

Maintain counter cleanliness, product display, testers, price tags, gift-with-purchase items, and promotional materials.

Handle stock replenishment, inventory checking, stock transfers, and product arrangement.

Monitor low stock, testers, near-expiry items, and gift stocks, and report to the supervisor when necessary.

Support and execute promotional campaigns, festive activities, new product launches, and in-store events.

Coordinate with Parkson staff and maintain smooth day-to-day counter operations.

Achieve individual and counter sales targets set by the company.

Collect customer feedback, observe market trends and competitor activities, and report relevant insights to the company.

Comply with company SOPs, attendance requirements, and work schedules.

Support other outlets or company events when required.

Requirements

Prior experience in retail sales, beauty, skincare, cosmetics, fragrance, or FMCG is preferred.

Experience working at a department store counter or beauty retail environment is an added advantage.

Good communication, customer service, and selling skills.

Responsible, proactive, and able to manage the counter independently.

Pleasant personality, neat appearance, and good interpersonal skills.

Able to work on weekends, public holidays, and according to retail shift schedules.

Able to communicate in basic English; Mandarin and/or Malay will be an added advantage.

Familiarity with WhatsApp and basic Excel / Google Sheets is preferred.

Candidates who can start work immediately will have an added advantage.
