Job summary

China Construction Yangtze River (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor for night-time supervision on our Kapar projects. The role involves monitoring safety, health and environment at night from 6:00 PM to 12:00 PM, assisting the Safety Manager, conducting risk inspections and ensuring compliance with OSH Act and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Engineering (EHS) or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Must possess Yellow book.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager / Safety Officer on SHE matters relating to project sites.
• Ensure SHE system compliance with government regulations and requirements.
• Perform site inspections and audits to ensure safety methods and regulations are observed.
• Ensure all work activities comply with OSH Act, FACTORIES AND MACHINERY ACT and local safety requirements.
• Maintain a good safety plan for a safe working environment.
• Develop accurate OSH reports and maintain safety records.
• Plan, coordinate and conduct SHE activities, training and programs.
• Be responsive to local authorities' requirements.
• Identify potential risks and propose practical, cost‑effective safety solutions.
• Ensure workers' amenities and welfare are attended.
• Attend project Safety and Health meetings.
• Carry out other duties as instructed by Management.

We are a construction‑project‑based company committed to maintaining high standards of site safety, health and environment across our work sites.

We are now looking for a full‑time Safety supervisor who is available for night‑shift work. working hours are Monday to Saturday, 6:00 PM to 12:00 PM.

You will be responsible for night‑time site safety supervision, risk inspection, and SHE compliance monitoring to keep our construction site operating safely throughout night‑time working hours. If you are safety‑minded, responsible and able to work the stated night shift schedule, we welcome you to join our team.

Job Description:

• To assist Safety Manager / Safety Officer on safety, Health and Environment (SHE) matters relating to the implementation of work requirement of project sites.
• Ensure Safety, Health and Environment system compliance with government regulation and requirements.
• Perform site inspection and audit in ensuring all safety methods and regulations are being observed.
• To ensure all work activities, procedures, processes, etc. are implemented according to OSH Act, Factories And Machinery Act and other local authorities on safety and health matters.
• To ensure and maintain good safety plan for the safe working environment.
• To develop accurate OSH report and to maintain relevant safety records.
• Planning, co-ordinate and conduct SHE activities, training and program.
• Able to responsive to local authorities' requirements.
• Able to identify potential risks and recommend practical and cost effective solution in safety management.
• To ensure workers' basic amenities and welfare has been properly attended.
• To attend all project’s Safety and Health meetings.
• To carry out any other duties as and when instructed by the Management from time to time.

Requirement:

• Candidates must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Candidate is mandatory to possess Yellow book.
