GDB INFRA SDN BHD is seeking a competent Site Safety Supervisor to ensure compliance with SHE policies, OSHA 1994, FMA amendments, and DOSH requirements on construction sites.
You will monitor certifications, conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, risk assessments, and incident investigations, coordinating with contractors and authorities to uphold a safe working environment.

Ensure compliance with all applicable SHE policies, OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, DOSH requirements, and other relevant statutory regulations.
Monitor and verify that all personnel, contractors, and subcontractors have valid certifications, permits, safety training, and site inductions before commencing work.
Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, inductions, inspections, audits, and safety training to promote a safe working environment.
Identify workplace hazards, prepare Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), conduct risk assessments, and implement preventive and corrective actions.
Perform regular site inspections to ensure safe work practices, proper PPE usage, and safe conditions of tools, equipment, machinery, and work areas.
Inspect powered and non-powered tools and equipment to ensure they are safely installed, properly maintained, and fit for purpose.
Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and safety complaints; prepare reports and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
Monitor and ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and approved safety procedures.
Maintain and update SHE documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, safety plans, inspection reports, and audit records.
Coordinate with management, contractors, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities on SHE matters and ensure timely closure of safety non-compliances.
Stop unsafe work practices when required and recommend immediate corrective actions.
Support emergency response procedures, evacuation drills, and safety awareness programs to promote a positive safety culture.
Act as the company liaison representative with relevant authorities on Safety, Health & Environment matters.
Provide SHE advice to management and project teams to ensure compliance with legal and company requirements.
Perform any other safety-related duties assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Possess a valid Competent Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) Certificate / DOSH Yellow Book.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar safety and health role, preferably in the construction industry.
Good knowledge of OSHA 1994, FMA (Amendment) 2006, DOSH requirements, and construction safety practices.
Experience in Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) management, inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring.
Good understanding of legal requirements and workplace safety standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and safety documentation.
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.
Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, and project teams.
