Job summary

Sunray Construction & Interior Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor for a live project in Johor Bahru. You will report to the HSE Manager and work closely with the project team to ensure all activities are carried out safely, in compliance with OSH requirements and site rules.

The role requires a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent, 3–5 years in construction safety, and active DOSH Yellow Book registration.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in construction safety and health practices.
• Registered Yellow Book competency with the DOSH.
• Strong knowledge of the OSH Act 2022 and related legislation.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Safety & Health Manager and project teams on safety, health, and environmental issues.
• Deliver site inductions, safety briefings, and toolbox talks.
• Supervise workers and subcontractors to correct unsafe acts/conditions.
• Assist in incident investigations, report preparation, and corrective actions.
• Maintain site safety rules and welfare facilities and coordinate deliveries.

At Sunray Construction & Interior Sdn Bhd, we specialise in small to large scaleinterior fit-outprojects and currently have a footprint in three states including Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Johor Bahru. In Sunray, you will work with a great team of seasoned professional colleagues and exposed to a variety of projects, such as hospitality, commercial offices, healthcare, and tower refurbishment.

We are currently looking for Site Safety Supervisors in Johor Bahru. In this role, you will be assigned to a currently active project and report to a HSE Manager, and work closely with the project team and ensure project activities are carried out in a safety manner.

Both Yellow Book and Non Yellow Book are welcomed to apply.

Non Yellow Book: Up to RM4,000 per month (depends on experience)

Yellow Book: Up to RM5,500 per month

Location: Johor Bahru City Centre

Primary Duties

Provide support to the Safety & Health Manager and Project teams in all aspects of safety, occupational health, and environmental issues.

Preparing and presenting site inductions, safety briefings and toolbox talks.

Supervising workers, subcontractors and work activities to identify and correcting unsafe act/ unsafe conditions.

Participate in any incident or accident investigation, report preparation, and ensure implementation of corrective actions.

Ensuring appropriate site rules and welfare facilities are in place.

Helping co-ordinate deliveries of materials, plant and equipment.

Ensure the safety documentation are maintained up-to-date , statistics and reports.

Assist in completing relevant weekly and monthly records for site report preparation.

Manages housekeeping at site.

Any other duties as may be assigned.

Job Requirements

Possess at least a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent

At least 3-5 years experience in Construction industry Safety and Health practices.

Registered Yellow Book competency with the the Occupational Safety & Health Department (DOSH)

Strong knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 2022 and other relevant legislations.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.
