Job summary

Systemair Sdn Bhd is seeking an Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Coordinator to create, review and update health and safety policies aligned with regulations. You will perform regular workplace inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with standards.

You will plan and conduct safety training for employees and managers, investigate accidents, and act as liaison with regulatory bodies, insurers and emergency services while supporting HR on welfare matters.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma qualification and completed DOSH approved training course for OSH coordinator.
• Good communication and problem solving skills.
• 1-2 years experience in safety assistant, coordinator or technician role.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and update health and safety policies and procedures in line with company and government regulation.
• Perform regular workplace inspections and safety audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with safety standard.
• Plan, organize, and conduct safety training programs for employees and managers to ensure understanding of safety protocols and legal requirements.
• Investigate workplace accidents, near-misses, and incidents; document findings, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Act as a liaison between the organization and external agencies (e.g., regulatory bodies, insurance, emergency services) regarding safety matters.
• Provide support to the Human Resources department on matters pertaining to employee welfare.
