Job summary

Tentacle Tech in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Software Developer to drive Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives for a large enterprise client.

Based onsite at Kuala Lumpur on a 6-month contract (renewable), you will take technical ownership of RPA delivery, from setting up infrastructure and defining coding standards to guiding a team of junior developers and ensuring robust, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, CS or relevant professional certificate(s).
• 8–10 years of relevant working experience.
• 6–8 years hands-on experience using Automation Anywhere.
• Proven ability to design, develop and deploy RPA solutions end to end.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with mentoring ability.
• Good communication and documentation skills for meetings and estimates.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and design process workflows with process owners and PMs, then build, test and implement RPA solutions.
• Set up and oversee development, test and production environments and evaluate deployment options.
• Align the CoE and stakeholders on best practices, coding standards and guidelines.
• Develop solutions from signed-off PDD and design documents, splitting components and assigning work to juniors.
• Identify reusable components and manage queues and schedules to optimise cost and runtime.
• Mentor junior developers, perform code reviews and document changes to sustain deployed solutions.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer / Software Programmer to drive Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives for a large enterprise client. Based onsite at KL on a 6-month and renewable contract, you will take technical ownership of RPA delivery, from setting up infrastructure and defining coding standards to guiding a team of junior developers and ensuring every solution is robust, compliant and built to last.

Key responsibilities

Work with Business Process Owners and Project Managers to analyse and design process workflows, then build, test and implement RPA solutions

Set up and oversee development, test and production environments, and evaluate server and other RPA deployment options

Align the Centre of Excellence (CoE) and stakeholders on best practices, coding standards and guidelines

Develop solutions from signed-off PDD and design documents, splitting components and assigning work to junior developers

Identify reusable components and manage configurable parameters, queues and robot schedules to optimise cost and runtime

Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews and audits, and monitor and document changes to sustain deployed solutions

About you

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science and/or relevant professional certificate(s)

8 to 10 years of relevant working experience

6 to 8 years of hands-on experience using Automation Anywhere

Proven ability to design, develop and deploy RPA solutions end to end

Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, with a passion for mentoring junior team members

Good communication and documentation skills, including estimating time, cost and plans for technical meetings
