Job summary

Aurora Talent is seeking an experienced Electrical/C&I rooftop solar design engineer in Kuala Lumpur. You will work on hands-on rooftop PV designs, layouts, sizing and single-line diagrams, supporting the full project lifecycle from proposal to handover.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy with at least 3 years in solar PV rooftop projects, plus proficiency in AutoCAD and PVsyst.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in solar PV rooftop projects.
• Hands-on rooftop design and software such as AutoCAD or PVsyst.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Hands on design and develop C&I rooftop solar PV systems, including layouts, sizing, single-line diagrams and technical proposals.
• Conduct site assessments with the Business Development team to evaluate rooftop conditions and project feasibility.
• Support customer meetings and technical presentations, providing practical engineering solutions.
• Support projects from design and proposal through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery per design.
• Conduct site inspections, troubleshoot issues and support project documentation and handover.
