Job summary

Sunway Berhad is seeking an Associate - Robotics to develop, test, and deploy intelligent robotic systems for real-world deployments and customer pilots. You will calibrate robots, diagnose systems, and troubleshoot hardware and embedded components while integrating AI models with robotics platforms.

The role involves building automation tools, supporting PoC projects, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable robotics solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in robotics-related fields.
• Experience with ROS/ROS2, Python/C++, sensors.
• Demonstrated passion for gaming and physical robots.

Responsibilities

• Lead robot calibration and end-to-end diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, sensors, embedded systems.
• Develop automation scripts for data acquisition, logging, and analysis.
• Own PoC development, validation, and field deployment.
• Manage system integration across AI models, robotics platforms, and external systems.
• Provide technical support for product demonstrations, industry events, and customer pilots.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering growth and best practices.
• Collaborate with software, AI, mechanical, and operations teams to deliver scalable robotics solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business units and clients.
• Translate business requirements into technical updates for stakeholders.
