Job summary

CTI International in Malaysia seeks an automation robotics engineer with 3+ years of experience to design, program, and implement robotic automation systems, with emphasis on PLC programming and AMR/AGV integration.

You will design, develop, and deploy robotic solutions to enhance manufacturing processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure safety and efficiency across projects. This role requires strong problem-solving and ongoing learning in robotics technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Robotics Automation, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, programming, and implementing robotic automation systems.
• Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic and structured text.
• Hands-on experience with industrial robotic systems (FANUC, ABB, KUKA, UR).
• Experience in designing and integrating AMR and AGV systems is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and automation technologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robotic automation systems to meet project objectives and specifications.
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot industrial robots, including arms, grippers, sensors, and vision systems.
• Proficient in PLC programming for automation control systems, including ladder logic and HMI design.
• Design and integrate AMR and AGV systems for material handling and logistics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and develop solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for automation projects.
• Optimize robot performance through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support and training to production staff on robotic systems operation and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in design and implementation.
• Stay updated on advancements in robotics technology, PLC programming, and AMR/AGV systems.
