Job summary

Jobstreet Malaysia in Selangor is seeking a hands-on Production/Assembly technician to perform product assembly according to SOPs, operate and support assembly machines, and participate in setup and changeovers. You will monitor performance, assist QA/QC during trials, and help with preventive maintenance while ensuring 5S and safety standards are followed.

The role requires practical experience with machine operation and assembly equipment, plus a proactive approach to identifying and reporting

Responsibilities

• Perform product assembly activities according to established SOP, Work Instruction and quality requirements
• Operate and support assembly machines, jigs, fixtures, robots and pick-and-place equipment
• Perform machine and equipment setup before production starts
• Set, adjust and fine-tune machine parameters to ensure stable production
• Conduct basic troubleshooting for machine, jig, robot and assembly-related issues
• Identify abnormalities, machine errors and equipment malfunctions and report them to the superior
• Perform basic repair, adjustment and replacement of machine components when required
• Conduct routine inspection and basic preventive maintenance of machines, jigs and fixtures
• Ensure jigs, fixtures and equipment are in good working condition and properly maintained
• Support machine changeover, product changeover and production line setup
• Assist QCQA and Production teams during machine trials, process improvement and new product setup
• Monitor machine and process performance and report recurring issues
• Support troubleshooting of robot and pick-and-place system operation
• Ensure proper handling and usage of tools, equipment and spare parts
• Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards at the workstation and production area
• Follow all safety procedures and ensure safe operation of machines and equipment
• Ensure assembled products meet specified quality and workmanship requirements
• Record machine issues, maintenance activities and relevant production information accurately
• Work closely with Production and QA/QC teams to resolve production and equipment issues
• Perform other technical and production-related duties as assigned by the superior
