Job summary

China Communications Construction Company (M) Sdn. Bhd. (CCCC Malaysia) is hiring a Civil Engineer to supervise earthworks, roadbed preparation, and slope stabilization for the ECRL project in Malaysia.

The role involves coordinating with site teams and ensuring geotechnical quality and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Diploma in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering with 1–2 years of relevant experience and fluent Mandarin for on-site communication with

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related technical certificate.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in earthworks, roadbed construction, highway construction, or railway subgrade works.
• Knowledge of soil mechanics, geotechnical testing protocols, and standard earthwork machinery operations.
• Proactive, physically fit for site environments, and capable of working under tight project schedules.
• Good teamwork skills and fluency in communicating technical instructions on site.
• Proficiency in Mandarin (both written and spoken) is mandatory, as the role requires regular communication and coordination with Mandarin-speaking management and employees.

• Supervise site excavation, backfilling, compaction testing, and soil stabilization processes to ensure alignment with engineering designs.
• Monitor settlement levels and coordinate with the surveying and laboratory teams for soil compaction and material compliance.
• Resolve on-site technical difficulties related to drainage, soil conditions, and foundation stability.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and ensure all work meets the stringent quality and safety standards of the ECRL project.
