Job summary

China Communications Construction Company (M) Sdn. Bhd. (CCCC Malaysia) seeks an experienced Site Quantity Surveyor for the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) mega project.

You will manage on-site financial, contractual, and measurement aspects for major civil packages at the Klang/Westport site. The role requires 2–4 years of site QS experience, proficiency in reading blueprints, and skills in Excel and AutoCAD, with strong negotiation and independent work capability.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2-4 years’ site QS experience on infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and blueprints; MS Excel and AutoCAD.
• Strong negotiation, detail-oriented, able to work with tight schedules.
• Own transport and willing to be based at the ECRL project site.

Responsibilities

• Site Measurement & Verification: measure works and verify against drawings and progress claims.
• Progress Claims Management: prepare and evaluate monthly claims from subcontractors.
• Variation Orders: identify, evaluate, and negotiate VO and resolve site disputes.
• Material & Subcontract Procurement: monitor wastage, control budgets, evaluate vendors.
• Final Accounts: assist in compiling, closing, and finalizing accounts with subs and client.
• Reporting: prepare monthly progress reports, cost-benefit analyses, and budget tracking.
