Job summary

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. in Malaysia is seeking an RF Engineer II to sustain, analyze, and improve RF products. You will work on DC/AC power, RF matching, and validation across design, testing, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities include design reviews, root-cause analysis, and process-driven engineering changes. The role requires 3–4 years in engineering, a Bachelor’s or Master’s in electrical engineering, and collaboration across multi-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Broad technical knowledge of RF circuits and power electronics used in electronic equipment and devices.
• Ability to apply analytical methods, CAD tools, and diagnostic instruments.

Responsibilities

• Support design and analysis of existing systems to specification, cost, and schedule goals.
• Review RF match and RF generator designs to become expert on functionality and performance.
• Diagnose issues across design, field performance, and reliability with corrective actions.
• Perform design verification testing and create summary reports.
• Follow ECO, Copy Exact, and Product Development processes.
• Identify limitations and opportunities for product improvements.
• Initiate and manage engineering changes through the ECO process.
• Plan and report engineering activities using project management tools.
• Provide direction to technicians or junior engineers on product work.
• Design and analyze derivative products to meet specs, cost, and quality goals.
• Analyze manufacturing data to monitor performance.
• Collaborate with management to respond to shifting priorities from multiple functions.
• Identify obsolete components and redesign circuitry to meet performance criteria.
