Durian World Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a hands-on Store Supervisor to help set up and operate our new durian retail outlet in Taman Cheras.

You will oversee daily store operations, guide the service crew, maintain customer service and store standards, and work closely with management to ensure smooth operations. You will also be involved in store setup, menu development, product preparation and improving the overall customer experience.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in F&B/retail/hospitality or outlet operations preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good command of English and Chinese; Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the retail outlet and ensure smooth workflow.
• Guide and supervise service crew and coordinate staff schedules/shifts.
• Assist management with store setup, opening preparations and operational procedures.
• Monitor stock levels, displays, replenishment and inventory checks to minimise wastage.
• Handle cash, POS transactions and daily sales records while following SOPs.

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Store Supervisor to help us set up and operate our new durian retail outlet in Taman Cheras.

You will oversee the day-to-day running of the store, guide and supervise the service crew, maintain customer service and store standards, and work closely with management to ensure smooth operations. You will also be involved in store setup, menu development, product preparation and improving the overall customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

• Oversee daily operations of the retail outlet and ensure smooth workflow
• Assist management with store setup, opening preparations and operational procedures
• Coordinate opening, closing and daily store activities
• Ensure the store is clean, organised and properly maintained
• Monitor stock levels, product displays and replenishment
• Assist with inventory checks and minimise wastage
• Ensure proper handling and storage of durian and other products
• Monitor cash handling, POS transactions and daily sales records
• Ensure company SOPs, hygiene and food safety standards are followed
• Online order delivery arrangement

Team Supervision

• Supervise, guide and support service crew during daily operations
• Assign duties and coordinate staff schedules/shifts
• Train new service crew on customer service, product knowledge and store procedures
• Monitor staff performance, punctuality and service standards
• Step in and assist the service crew during busy periods when required
• Handle day-to-day staff issues and escalat(e) major matters to management

Customer Service

• Ensure customers receive friendly and professional service
• Assist customers with product recommendations and enquiries
• Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally
• Maintain a positive customer experience throughout the store

Menu & Product Development

• Assist management in developing and improving the store's menu and product offerings
• Provide feedback on customer preferences and product performance
• Assist with product testing, pricing ideas and menu presentation
• Work with management to introduce seasonal products and promotions

Sales & Business Operations

• Monitor daily sales and outlet performance
• Identify opportunities to improve sales and customer conversion
• Support promotions, product launches and seasonal campaigns
• Work closely with the marketing team to support in-store promotions and content creation
• Provide management with feedback on customer behaviour, sales and operational issues

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in F&B, retail, hospitality or outlet operations preferred
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience is an advantage
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable managing and working alongside a frontline team
• Able to work weekends, public holidays and shifts when required
• Responsible, punctual and reliable
• Hands-on attitude and willing to assist with frontline duties when necessary
• Good problem-solving and organisational skills
• Able to work independently and take initiative
• Good command of English and Chinese; Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage
• F&B or retail experience is strongly preferred
