Job summary

PRISM+ Malaysia is seeking a passionate Retail Assistant Store Manager to accelerate growth in our retail segment. You will oversee sales, customer service, and stock management while reporting to the Retail Store Manager and driving merchandising standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of managerial retail experience, strong data skills, and excellent communication in English, Chinese, and Malay. You will recruit, train, schedule, and motivate staff to consistently exceed sales targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in the retail industry.
• Well versed in retail store processes and systems, proficient in Excel/ PowerPoint.
• Prior experience in malls landlord relations.
• Data-driven with ability to analyse data for stocks forecasting.
• Strong communication skills (English/Chinese/Malay) and people skills.
• Passionate about engaging customers and providing excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Manage, count, verify, and reconcile daily cash register sales.
• Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner, provide quality customer service and recommend products.
• Perform opening and closing procedures according to store policies.
• Process and replenish merchandise and ensure stock availability.
• Co-lead retail team to maintain visual merchandising and cleanliness standards.
• Recruit and hire new store employees and train onboarding.
• Create and manage store schedules and set/achieve sales targets to drive growth.
• Provide timely sales reports and analyses, flag risks regarding shortfalls, and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with management to plan incentives and push plans to boost sales.
