Job summary

KK SUPER MART Melaka, Bandar Baru Jasin 3 (MJS3) is hiring a Shop Assistant (Full Time). The role involves receiving, recording, arranging, inspecting, and returning goods, and handling inventory and merchandising tasks.

Maintain store cleanliness, operate equipment, ensure asset safety, provide courteous service, and respond to emergencies while upholding KK Supermart's image. Education options include SPM, Diploma, or equivalent, with a Bachelor’s degree as a plus.

Qualifications

• SPM, Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Previous retail experience (minimum 1–3 years), with supervisory responsibilities preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Possess own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Receive, record, arrange, inspect, and return goods, and handle inventory and merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping in the store premises.
• Operate and handle all equipment and machines in the store per company procedures.
• Ensure the safety and proper care of the store's property and assets.
• Provide courteous and professional service to customers.
• Handle emergency situations appropriately and report them to relevant personnel.
• Uphold and maintain the store's good image and reputation.
