Job summary

Jora Malaysia offers a staged training program designed to develop practical store skills from cashier duties to sales support and eventually retail management. Trainees will rotate through three focused phases, gaining hands-on experience with POS transactions, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and team coordination.

Fresh graduates and willing learners will find a clear path to grow into supervisory roles.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree graduate (fresh graduates encouraged).
• Good communication in Bahasa Melayu and English (spoken and written).
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
• Availability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Phase 1: Cashier Training (Month 1): Process transactions accurately using POS systems; handle cash, credit card, and digital payments securely; assist with returns, exchanges, and end-of-day cash reconciliation; maintain a clean cashier counter; provide friendly customer service.
• Phase 2: Sales Assistant Training (Month 2–3): Help customers find products and share current promotions; keep shelves stocked and displays organized; support inventory management and loss prevention; maintain store cleanliness and visual merchandising.
• Phase 3: Retail Management Training (Month 4–6): Learn sales analysis, reporting, and inventory control; assist with staff supervision and scheduling; support store marketing, promotions, and customer engagement; understand safety compliance and loss prevention; contribute ideas to improve store performance.
