Adecco Staffing Recruitment is seeking a Retail Associate for a museum retail setting in Kuala Lumpur. You will deliver exceptional customer service, assist customers, and support sales targets while maintaining appealing merchandising displays.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Business, Retail Management, Tourism, Hospitality, or related field.
• 1-2 years of retail or customer service experience for Junior role; internship or part-time experience considered.
• 3-5 years of retail, merchandising, or customer service experience for Senior role; experience in museums, galleries, lifestyle brands, tourism or cultural institutions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and enhance visitors' shopping experience.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, recommendations, and purchases.
• Support sales targets and contribute to overall store performance.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
• Operate POS systems and process cash, card, and e-payment transactions accurately.
• Ensure proper cash handling and compliance with retail procedures.
• Support the Retail Manager in day-to-day retail operations.
• Receive, tag, replenish, and organize merchandise.
• Monitor stock levels and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Create and maintain attractive visual merchandising displays.
• Ensure the retail space is clean, organized, and aligned with brand standards.
• Assist with daily and weekly sales reports.
• Support retail campaigns, promotions, and special events.
• Guide and mentor junior team members where applicable.

We are looking for enthusiastic retail professionals across junior to senior levels who are passionate about customer engagement, merchandising, and retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

Education

Experience

Junior Retail Associate

1-2 years of retail or customer service experience.

Internship or part-time retail experience will be considered.

Experience in tourism, lifestyle, or cultural retail is an advantage.

Retail Associate (Senior)

3-5 years of retail, merchandising, or customer service experience.

Experience in museums, galleries, lifestyle brands, tourism, or cultural institutions is highly preferred.

Supervisory or mentoring experience is an added advantage.

Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Experience in stock management and merchandising.

Team-oriented with a positive and proactive attitude.

Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Sales reporting knowledge will be an added advantage.
