Job summary

Hajris F&B is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager for Q Bistro Taman Melati to assist the Restaurant Manager with day-to-day outlet operations, staff supervision, and ensuring service quality. You will monitor inventory, costs, and compliance while driving sales targets and guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years in F&B with supervisory experience, a related Diploma/Degree, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills. Shift work including weekends required.

Qualifications

• Min. SPM or equivalent; Diploma/Degree in F&B, Hospitality, Business Management, or related field is an advantage.
• Min. 3 years of experience in the F&B industry, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Good understanding of restaurant operations and customer service.
• Able to supervise staff and manage daily operational activities.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused with a positive and professional attitude.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Familiarity with POS systems and MS Office is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the overall outlet operations.
• Ensure daily restaurant activities run smoothly according to company standards.
• Supervise and coordinate restaurant crew during each shift.
• Guide and motivate staff to maintain high levels of productivity and service.
• Ensure customers receive fast, friendly, and satisfactory service.
• Monitor food preparation, product quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Assist in controlling inventory, food costs, wastage, and stock usage.
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, and work performance.
• Assist in preparing staff duty rosters and arranging manpower according to business needs.
• Conduct staff briefings and provide on-the-job guidance when required.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve operational issues appropriately.
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety requirements are consistently maintained.
• Ensure all staff follow company SOPs, policies, and operational procedures.
• Assist with cash handling, daily sales records, and outlet reporting.
• Monitor restaurant equipment and facilities and report maintenance issues.
• Take responsibility for outlet operations when the Restaurant Manager is unavailable.
• Assist the Restaurant Manager in achieving sales and operational targets.
• Perform other duties assigned by the management.
