Job summary

ONYX Hospitality Group in Penang, Malaysia seeks a Reservations professional to support reservation agents, manage inventory, respond to guest requests and uphold service standards. You will work with Opera or Micros systems and contribute to upselling opportunities.

Ideal candidates hold a hospitality diploma, have 2–3 years of experience, strong English, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a customer-focused approach to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth front-office

Qualifications

• Min Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent.
• Proficient with reservations handling and Opera/Micros system.
• Excellent command of English language, knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Excellent organization, communication and leadership skills required along with displaying excellent attention to detail.
• Perform upselling whenever possible.

Responsibilities

• Act as a main resource for reservation agents needing assistance technically or with regards to achieving customer satisfaction.
• Ensure reservation department and Front Office staff are constantly aware of availability states open, on request, closed dates, high demand dates.
• Responds to all guest reservation requests and executes prompt, courteous and accurate guest service at all times.
• Strong knowledge about hotel guest rooms, rates, promotions, amenities, programs, hotel facilities and services.
• Track all reservations picked up from all On-line channels like hotel website, OTA, GDS, other third party.
• Handle external systems like channel Manager, Web booking engines, Rate comparison tools, Online Travel Agents extranets.
