Job summary

The Goodnite is seeking a Research & Development Assistant Manager to lead daily R&D operations and drive new mattress product development. The role requires a strong background in engineering/materials and hands-on knowledge of mattress components, with an ability to coordinate cross-functional projects.

You will evaluate materials, test components, and collaborate with Production, Quality, Sales, and Suppliers to deliver high-quality products on time while seeking cost efficiencies and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Knowledge of mattress construction, foam, spring systems, fabrics, and related materials.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the daily operations of the R&D department.
• Lead new product development and improve existing mattress products.
• Evaluate and test new raw materials and components.
• Coordinate product development projects and ensure they are completed on time.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Sales, Purchasing, and suppliers.
• Provide technical support for production and resolve product-related issues.
• Improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction without affecting product quality.
• Conduct product testing and prepare technical reports and product specifications.
• Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
• Train and guide R&D team members when required.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
