Job summary

Cellusys Academy is looking for a hands-on professional to identify and resolve signalling and SMS firewall issues, and to deliver tailored solutions for enhanced network performance. The role is home-office based with weekly meetings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The ideal candidate has a ICT-related degree and at least 1 year in Mobile Operator Core CS/PS, with strong knowledge of signalling protocols, Linux, Wireshark, and Elasticsearch/Grafana. Proficient English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ICT domain (Telecommunications preferable).
• At least 1 year of experience in Mobile Operator Core network CS/PS.
• Strong knowledge of signalling protocols, Linux, Wireshark, and data tools such as Elasticsearch and Grafana.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
• Comfortable working with servers in customers' data centres.

Responsibilities

• Configure firewall rules to defend against threats and prevent revenue leakage
• Optimise roaming services and apply steering rules
• Classify SMS traffic using signature-based detection
• Build and deliver custom reports based on network behaviour and performance
• Run regular health checks across hardware, OS, and firewall modules
• Respond to technical issues raised via tickets or direct requests
• Investigate and troubleshoot faults identified during checks or by operators
• Carry out penetration tests and honeypot validation exercises
