Job summary

The Elite Job is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Software Tester to join its QA team. This entry-level role focuses on identifying bugs and performance issues early in development, working closely with developers and senior testers to uphold product quality.

Responsibilities include executing tests, planning and documenting test cases, and contributing to regression testing while embracing Agile practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field is required.
• Fundamental understanding of SDLC and STLC essential.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla) is expected.
• Exposure to automated testing tools (Selenium, TestNG) a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team within Agile contexts.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated test cases to identify defects.
• Collaborate with Developers, PMs, and QA leads on test strategies.
• Report and track bugs accurately using issue tracking tools.
• Prepare test plans, test cases, and test scripts per specs.
• Participate in regression testing to verify fixes and features.
• Learn and apply industry best practices in software testing.
• Support QA team to improve testing processes and tools.
• Communicate testing progress and results to stakeholders.
