Job summary

VDart Malaysia is seeking a Software QA Executive to support software testing across the SDLC. The role focuses on test execution, test case preparation, defect management, and QA reporting, with opportunities to grow in automation testing, API testing, and Agile practices.

You will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA leads, perform various testing types, document results, and assist in UAT and post-release validation, while maintaining quality and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/SE or related field.
• 1–3 years in Software QA/Testing.
• Experience with manual testing and Selenium automation fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Experience in writing, executing tests and defect management.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation.
• API testing experience using Postman.
• Familiarity with Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or Azure DevOps.
• Able to work independently while following QA guidance.

Responsibilities

• Execute Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and UAT testing.
• Prepare test data and maintain test cases based on requirements.
• Identify test scenarios, edge cases, and potential issues.
• Log, track, verify, and close defects; support triage.
• Maintain QA reports and test results.
• Support UAT and post-release validation activities.
• Collaborate with Developers, BAs, and QA Team Leads to resolve issues.
• Escalate testing risks and blockers when required.
• Contribute to improving testing processes and QA practices.

The role will focus on test execution, test case preparation, defect management, documentation, and collaboration with development and business teams. The position will also provide opportunities to develop skills in automation testing, API testing, and Agile practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify test scenarios, edge cases, and potential issues.

• Maintain accurate test results, evidence, documentation, and QA reports.

• Work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and QA Team Leads to clarify requirements and resolve testing issues.

• Contribute to improving testing processes and QA practices.
