Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Backend Process Quality Engineer to oversee production quality, ensure adherence to standards, and manage quality issues. The role requires strong technical knowledge and experience in electronics assembly and semiconductor backend processing.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience in electronics assembly, semiconductor backend processing, or advanced packaging.
• Self-motivated and self-disciplined.
• Proficient communication skills, able to work independently and interact effectively at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead to investigate quality issues detected post-test.
• Formulate rigorous 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone reports to resolve line deviations and customer returns.
• Execute line audits in the back-end finishing area to maintain quality standards.
• Maintain and optimize PFMEA profiles tailored to handling, laser marking, and more.
• Manage risk evaluations and quality verifications for backend line alterations.
