Job summary

Multiplier is seeking an APAC Legal Counsel to join its Offboarding and Litigation Legal Team. The role focuses on employment and labour law across APAC, including offboarding, terminations, redundancies and disputes. This is a fully remote role open to candidates across APAC, with Vietnam and Indonesia strongly preferred.

You will draft termination letters, settlement agreements, and guidance, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliant processes and timely case management.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer in an APAC jurisdiction with 3+ years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in Vietnam or Indonesia is strongly preferred.
• Strong employment and labour law experience in at least one APAC jurisdiction.
• Full professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to draft clear and commercially practical legal advice, termination documentation, settlement agreements, legal notices and internal guidance.
• Experience managing external counsel and coordinating employment matters across different jurisdictions is an advantage.
• Strong legal research, analytical and risk-assessment skills.
• Ability to manage a high volume of matters, prioritise urgent cases and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote and fast-paced international environment.
• Ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to clients and non-legal teams.
• Experience working in-house or in multinational tech/HR/EOR environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical employment-law advice on employee offboarding and contentious employment matters across APAC.
• Advise on terminations, redundancies, mutual separation agreements, performance management and disciplinary procedures.
• Assess legal and commercial risks of proposed offboarding strategies and recommend compliant solutions.
• Draft and review termination letters, settlement agreements, disciplinary docs, legal opinions and consultation materials.
• Manage employment disputes, threatened claims and litigation with external counsel when needed.
• Work closely with internal Legal, HR, Payroll, Operations and Customer Success teams for compliant case management.
• Communicate with clients, explain legal requirements and provide clear options, costs and risks.
• Monitor APAC employment law developments and maintain internal guidance and templates.
• Support standardisation of offboarding and litigation processes across APAC.
• Maintain accurate case records and proactively manage deadlines and stakeholders.
