TELUS Digital AI Data Solutions is seeking an AI Speech & Audio Specialist to contribute to ASR, TTS, and voice AI projects. You will help build, evaluate, and refine speech datasets and audio workflows to deliver natural, high-quality voice experiences.

Ideal candidates have expertise in audio production, linguistics, or phonetics, and hands-on experience with professional tools like iZotope RX, Reaper, Audacity, or Logic Pro.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in audio, linguistics, or speech-related fields.
• Professional experience in voice recording is a plus.
• Experience with audio tools and workflows for speech & audio processing.
• Knowledge of ASR, TTS, or voice AI concepts is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated speech (TTS) for naturalness, pronunciation, rhythm and tone.
• Review ASR outputs for transcription accuracy and linguistic nuances.
• Perform audio editing tasks including segmentation, trimming, noise reduction, and quality enhancement.
• Analyze audio using waveform and spectrogram tools to identify quality issues.
• Support creation and validation of high-quality speech datasets for AI model training.
