Job summary

Maybank is seeking a Relationship Manager, Deposit, Commercial Banking to grow and manage the commercial deposit portfolio, including CASA, FD and MMD. You will build and expand client relationships, drive new-to-bank and new-to-commercial business, and promote cash management, payroll, trade finance and FX solutions.

Responsibilities

• Grow and manage the Commercial Banking deposit portfolio (Conventional & Islamic), including acquiring New-to-Bank and New-to-Commercial Banking customers.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with commercial banking clients while expanding deposit balances across CASA, Fixed Deposits, Money Market Deposits, Payroll, Trade, and Operating Accounts.
• Drive customer acquisition and increase deposit balances through strategic prospecting, networking, referrals, and market penetration initiatives.
• Identify business opportunities and conduct client engagements to promote Cash Management, Trade Finance, Payroll, FCY Accounts, and other transactional banking solutions.
• Work closely with Region Heads, Branches, and internal stakeholders to deliver holistic banking solutions that meet customers evolving business needs.
• Deepen customer relationships and maximize share of wallet through cross-selling of the Bank’s products and services, including Commercial Cards, Insurance, Financing Facilities, Treasury Solutions, and Transaction Banking Products.
• Facilitate the onboarding, activation, and utilization of Foreign Exchange (Forex) Facilities to support customers’ domestic and international business activities.
• Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, industry developments, and competitor offerings to identify growth opportunities and enhance client value propositions.

• Strong knowledge of Deposit Products, including CASA, Fixed Deposits (FD), Money Market Deposits (MMD), Payroll Solutions, and Transaction Banking Services.
• Proven track record in customer acquisition, portfolio growth, sales performance, and relationship building.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to engage and influence decision-makers across various levels of an organization.
• Knowledge of Cash Management, Trade Finance, M2u Biz, M2E, Payroll, Foreign Currency Accounts, and other Commercial Banking products will be an added advantage.
