Job summary

Maybank in Malaysia is seeking a Relationship Manager, Deposit, Commercial Banking to expand the commercial deposit portfolio, nurture client relationships, and deliver banking solutions that support businesses' financial goals.

You will grow CASA, FD, MMD, payroll, and trade services while cross-selling cards, insurance, and treasury products, collaborating with region heads and branches to tailor holistic solutions.

Responsibilities

• Grow and manage the Commercial Banking deposit portfolio (Conventional & Islamic).
• Develop and strengthen relationships with commercial banking clients while expanding deposit balances across CASA, Fixed Deposits, Money Market Deposits, Payroll, Trade, and Operating Accounts.
• Drive customer acquisition and increase deposit balances through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market penetration initiatives.
• Identify business opportunities and conduct client engagements to promote Cash Management, Trade Finance, Payroll, Foreign Currency Accounts, and other transactional banking solutions.
• Work closely with Region Heads, Branches, and internal stakeholders to deliver holistic banking solutions that meet customers’ evolving business needs.
• Deepen customer relationships and maximize share of wallet through cross-selling of the Bank’s products and services, including Commercial Cards, Insurance, Financing Facilities, Treasury Solutions, and Transaction Banking Products.

• Grow and manage the Commercial Banking deposit portfolio (Conventional & Islamic), including acquiring New-to-Bank and New-to-Commercial Banking customers.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with commercial banking clients while expanding deposit balances across CASA, Fixed Deposits (FD), Money Market Deposits (MMD), Payroll, Trade, and Operating Accounts.
• Drive customer acquisition and increase deposit balances through strategic prospecting, networking, referrals, and market penetration initiatives.
• Identify business opportunities and conduct client engagements to promote Cash Management, Trade Finance, Payroll, Foreign Currency (FCY) Accounts, and other transactional banking solutions.
• Work closely with Region Heads, Branches, and internal stakeholders to deliver holistic banking solutions that meet customers’ evolving business needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, relationship management, or deposit acquisition within the banking and financial services industry.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Deposit Products, including CASA, Fixed Deposits (FD), Money Market Deposits (MMD), Payroll Solutions, and Transaction Banking Services.
• Proven track record in customer acquisition, portfolio growth, sales performance, and relationship building.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to engage and influence decision-makers across various levels of an organization.
• Knowledge of Cash Management, Trade Finance, M2u Biz, M2E, Payroll, Foreign Currency Accounts, and other Commercial Banking products will be an added advantage.
