Job summary

Maybank seeks a Relationship Manager for Commercial Banking Deposits to grow the deposit portfolio across conventional and Islamic products. Responsibilities

• Grow and manage the Commercial Banking deposit portfolio (Conventional & Islamic).
• Develop relationships with commercial banking clients and expand deposit balances.
• Drive customer acquisition and increase deposit balances through strategic prospecting and referrals.
• Identify opportunities to promote Cash Management, Trade Finance, Payroll, FCY and other transactional banking solutions.
• Collaborate with Region Heads, Branches and internal stakeholders to deliver holistic banking solutions.
• Cross-sell products to maximize share of wallet (Commercial Cards, Financing Facilities, Treasury Solutions).
• Onboard Foreign Exchange facilities and related services.

Responsibilities

• Grow and manage the Commercial Banking deposit portfolio (Conventional & Islamic), including acquiring New-to-Bank and New-to-Commercial Banking customers.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with commercial banking clients while expanding deposit balances across CASA, Fixed Deposits (FD), Money Market Deposits (MMD), Payroll, Trade, and Operating Accounts.
• Drive customer acquisition and increase deposit balances through strategic prospecting, networking, referrals, and market penetration initiatives.
• Identify business opportunities and conduct client engagements to promote Cash Management, Trade Finance, Payroll, Foreign Currency (FCY) Accounts, and other transactional banking solutions.
• Work closely with Region Heads, Branches, and internal stakeholders to deliver holistic banking solutions that meet customers’ evolving business needs.
• Deepen customer relationships and maximize share of wallet through cross-selling of the Bank’s products and services, including Commercial Cards, Insurance, Financing Facilities, Treasury Solutions, and Transaction Banking Products.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, relationship management, or deposit acquisition within the banking and financial services industry.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Deposit Products, including CASA, Fixed Deposits (FD), Money Market Deposits (MMD), Payroll Solutions, and Transaction Banking Services.
• Proven track record in customer acquisition, portfolio growth, sales performance, and relationship building.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to engage and influence decision-makers across various levels of an organization.
• Knowledge of Cash Management, Trade Finance, M2u Biz, M2E, Payroll, Foreign Currency Accounts, and other Commercial Banking products will be an added advantage.
