Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking a results-driven banker to market and sell deposit products to Commercial Banking clients, while collaborating with borrowing teams to grow deposits and plan growth events.

The ideal candidate will have a Finance/Banking-related degree, strong analytical and communication skills, and a willingness to leverage Mandarin as an added advantage for engaging clients.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking or Business-Related Studies.
• Independent, reliable and meticulous in approach.
• Fluent in Mandarin (written, read and spoken) would be an added advantage.
• Good analytical and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Committed, confident, determined, self-motivated and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Market and sell deposit products to Commercial Banking non-borrowing and borrowing profile customers.
• Work with borrowing team to grow deposits and plan events to drive deposit growth.
• Build and deepen customer loyalty and satisfaction through proactive service and addressing issues.
• Ensure maintenance of high standards of sales practices and advisory services in line with bank policies.
• Identify market opportunities for business growth and implement sales programs to achieve results.
• Grow the portfolio by acquiring new clients and deepening relationships through cross-sell of appropriate products.
