Job summary

Givaudan in Malaysia is seeking a Regulatory Specialist (Halal) for a 1-year contract, based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka. You will provide regulatory support to internal and external customers and ensure Halal documentation meets legal and corporate standards.

The role requires Halal documentation experience, a related degree, and strong English/Malay communication. You will work with cross-functional teams and leverage internal systems to support product development and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Halal documentation or certification processes.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Support: manage Halal documentation and certification processes in line with regulatory and customer requirements.
• Provide consistent formula reviews and documentation to support global initiatives and activity timelines.
• Develop and improve routine regulatory processes and generate technical reports and declarations.
• Support Technical & Commercial teams in product development and commercialization.
• Handle product Dietary registration with local authority.
• Respond to requests from internal and external clients.
• Utilize Givaudan systems to complete tasks and manage data.
• Assist manager/specialist as needed.
• Customer Support: generate customer documents and deliver timely support to meet expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete Product/Safety/Regulations activities.
• Develop relationships with assigned customer contacts and understand their requirements.

Regulatory Specialist (Halal) - Your future position?

As the Regulatory Specialist , you will provide regulatory support to internal and external customers to ensure that all regulatory requirements are fulfilled, according to legal requirements and corporate guidelines.

This will be a 1-year contract position. In this role, you will report to the Senior Regulatory Manager and will be based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.

Regulatory Support

• Manage Halal documentation and support Halal certification processes in compliance with applicable regulatory and customer requirements
• Provide internal customers with consistent and compliant formula reviews and documentation in an expeditious timeframe to meet global commercial, creation and research initiatives
• Develop, implement and identify continuous improvement of routine processes
• Generate technical reports and declarations for internal and external use
• Provide regulatory support to Technical & Commercial team in the development and commercialization of assigned product
• Handle product Dietary registration with local authority
• Respond to requests from internal and external clients
• Use Givaudan systems to complete tasks and manage data
• Assist manager/specialist as necessary

Customer Support

• Generate customer documents
• Deliver support on time, meeting customer's expectation
• Interact with functional teams to complete Product/Safety/Regulations/Assurance/Quality activities
• Develop relationship with assigned customer contacts
• Obtain thorough knowledge of assigned customer requirements

Your Professional Profile Includes

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Halal documentation or certification processes
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Basic understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Able to speak English and Malay.
