Job summary

Givaudan in Melaka, Malaysia invites a Regulatory Specialist (Halal) to provide regulatory support to internal and external customers, ensuring Halal documentation and compliance for ongoing products.

This is a 1-year contract based in Ayer Keroh. You will report to the Senior Regulatory Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements: degree in Food Science or Chemistry, 2+ years Halal docs experience, strong MS Office skills, fluent in English and Malay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Halal documentation or certification processes.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Fluent English and Malay.

Responsibilities

• Manage Halal documentation and support Halal certification processes in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide internal customers with consistent and compliant formula reviews and documentation in a timely manner.
• Develop, implement and identify continuous improvement of routine processes.
• Generate technical reports and declarations for internal and external use.
• Provide regulatory support to cross-functional teams in development and commercialization of products.
• Handle product dietary registrations with local authorities.
• Respond to requests from internal and external clients.
• Use Givaudan systems to complete tasks and manage data.
• Assist manager/specialist as necessary.
• Deliver support on time, meeting customer expectations.
• Interact with functions to complete Product/Safety/Regulations/Assurance/Quality activities.

Regulatory Specialist (Halal) - Your future position?

As the Regulatory Specialist , you will provide regulatory support to internal and external customers to ensure that all regulatory requirements are fulfilled, according to legal requirements and corporate guidelines.

This will be a 1-year contract position. In this role, you will report to the Senior Regulatory Manager and will be based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.

Regulatory Support

• Manage Halal documentation and support Halal certification processes in compliance with applicable regulatory and customer requirements
• Provide internal customers with consistent and compliant formula reviews and documentation in an expeditious timeframe to meet global commercial, creation and research initiatives
• Develop, implement and identify continuous improvement of routine processes
• Generate technical reports and declarations for internal and external use
• Provide regulatory support to Technical & Commercial team in the development and commercialization of assigned product
• Handle product Dietary registration with local authority
• Respond to requests from internal and external clients
• Use Givaudan systems to complete tasks and manage data
• Assist manager/specialist as necessary
• Deliver support on time, meeting customer's expectation
• Interact with functional teams to complete Product/Safety/Regulations/Assurance/Quality activities
• Develop relationship with assigned customer contacts
• Obtain thorough knowledge of assigned customer requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field
