Job summary

ALLNEX in Malaysia is seeking a Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs Associate to ensure our coatings products comply with regulatory requirements across Australia and to guide internal teams and customers on regulatory issues. This one-year fixed-term contract places you at the heart of regulatory intelligence and cross-functional collaboration.

You will monitor regulatory developments, manage substance notifications, maintain databases, and support new product development with compliance

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in regulatory affairs and product stewardship.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements for chemical products.
• Knowledge of polymer chemistry or related applications is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organisational and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English; additional Asian language proficiency is an advantage.
• Proactive, collaborative and committed to continuous learning and process improvement.
• Proficient in MS Teams; hands-on experience in BI, SAP etc. are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance & Product Assessment: Conduct regulatory assessments to support product marketing and business decisions across Australia.
• Prepare and coordinate new substance notifications, inventory update notifications, and exemption permit applications in accordance with local chemical control regulations.
• Support new product development projects by advising R&D teams on regulatory compliance requirements.
• Participate in regulatory hold processes, providing recommendations on the release or restriction of products to ensure compliance.
