Job summary

allnex Malaysia is seeking a Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) Associate to ensure regulatory compliance of products across Australia and guide internal stakeholders on regulatory matters. This is a one-year fixed-term contract within a global coatings leader.

The role focuses on regulatory assessments, notifications, and support for new product development, with opportunities to collaborate across functions and engage with authorities as needed.

Qualifications

• Hand-on experience in regulatory affairs, product stewardship, compliance, or a related field.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements for chemical products.
• Knowledge of polymer chemistry, chemical manufacturing processes, or related applications is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Proficient in written and spoken English; additional Asian language proficiency is an advantage.
• Proactive, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning and process improvement.
• Proficient in MS Teams; hands-on experience in BI, SAP, etc., are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance & Product Assessment across Australia.
• Prepare and coordinate new substance notifications, inventory updates, and exemption permit applications.
• Support new product development by advising R&D on regulatory requirements.
• Participate in regulatory hold processes with recommendations on release or restriction.
• Regulatory Advice & Stakeholder Support for internal teams; answer inquiries on regulatory compliance, chemical regulations, and health and safety matters.
• Liaise with state and national regulatory authorities as required and authorized.
• Compliance Monitoring & Documentation: maintain regulatory databases and ensure information stays current.
• Support reporting, record-keeping, and substance tracking under chemical regulations.
• Ensure adherence to internal SOPs and procedures.
• Collaborate with Global HazCom team to ensure SDSs, labels, and hazard docs meet local rules.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on business.
• Represent allnex in industry associations on regulatory matters when needed.
