Job summary

KPJ Batu Pahat Specialist Hospital in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated nurse to provide comprehensive care for mothers and newborns across labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. You will monitor vitals, assist obstetricians and pediatricians, administer medications, educate new mothers on newborn care and breastfeeding, and maintain accurate records while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Candidates must hold nursing diploma or degree, be registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s in Nursing from a recognized institution.
Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board with a valid APC.
Post-Basic Certificate in Midwifery or Obstetrics Nursing preferred.
2–3 years of clinical maternity/NICU experience.
Strong communication and compassionate patient care.
Willingness to rotate shifts, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns through labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.
Monitor, record, and report vitals and health status; respond to emergencies promptly.
Assist obstetricians and pediatricians during deliveries and examinations.
Administer prescribed medications and IV infusions accurately.
Educate new mothers on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum self-care.
Maintain accurate patient records in line with standards.
Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans.
