Job summary

RHI Refractories Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking a Technical Sales & Business Development Manager to drive growth across Southeast Asia. This hands-on, individual contributor role develops new markets, builds strong customer relationships, and shapes our regional growth strategy.

You will work with customers across industries including hazardous waste treatment, incineration, aluminium processing, refractory solutions, thermal systems, and related industrial applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline required.
• 7–12 years in technical sales, solution selling, business development, or project sales in industrial markets.
• Proven ability to develop new business and win customers independently.
• Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles from prospecting to order closure.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to translate customer challenges into business opportunities.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Southeast Asia.
• Experience in refractory materials or related industrial applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across Southeast Asia.
• Build relationships with end-users, EPC contractors, OEMs, and industry partners.
• Develop new customer contacts and generate opportunities independently.
• Support market-entry and customer engagement strategies.
• Conduct initial customer visits and application assessments.
• Understand customer processes, operating conditions, and technical challenges.
• Identify potential technical and commercial opportunities.
• Work with technical specialists to develop practical, customer-focused solutions.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to order closure.
• Lead product trials, quotations, commercial discussions, and contract negotiations.
