Job summary

Carsome Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Manager, Talent Acquisition – Northern, to drive end-to-end recruitment across the Northern Region, with a focus on Retail and high-volume hiring. You will partner with hiring managers to understand manpower needs, build talent pipelines, manage offers, and coordinate onboarding across Alor Setar and other locations, while travelling regionally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in Talent Acquisition / Recruitment.
• Strong hands-on experience in Retail recruitment including high-volume hiring.
• Experience managing recruitment across multiple branches/locations or regions.
• Proven full recruitment lifecycle experience across multiple positions.
• Strong sourcing using job portals, LinkedIn, referrals and other channels.
• Experience organising career fairs, walk-in interviews and large-scale recruitment events.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Comfortable with recruitment data, reports and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end recruitment across the Northern Region, including sourcing, screening, interviews, offers and onboarding coordination.
• Lead recruitment for Retail, frontline and high-volume roles across multiple branches.
• Collaborate with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand manpower needs and plans.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and recurring positions.
• Utilize sourcing channels including portals, LinkedIn, referrals, and career fairs.
• Plan and execute mass hiring events and on-ground recruitment campaigns.
• Monitor progress, identify gaps, and implement action plans to improve hiring outcomes.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience and strong engagement throughout the process.
• Manage salary recommendations, offers and negotiations with stakeholders.
• Maintain ATS data and comply with internal processes and policies.
