Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Malaysia is seeking a Regional Portfolio Manager for the Field Devices portfolio across ASEAN within the Smart Infrastructure Buildings team. You will drive portfolio growth, market development, and lifecycle management by leveraging technical expertise and commercial acumen to influence specifications and win major projects.

Collaboration with country sales, partners, consultants, and end-users will be essential as you own the regional portfolio, lead new product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline relevant to HVAC and building systems.
• 5–10 years in HVAC controls, building automation, field devices, instrumentation, or related roles.
• Experience in regional/multi-country ASEAN context is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth, profitability and market share for Field Devices across ASEAN.
• Act as regional technical expert for sensors, valves, actuators and associated field devices.
• Own regional Field Devices portfolio lifecycle, launches, and phase-ins/outs.
• Develop regional growth strategies and align with global product management.
• Monitor key metrics and foster collaboration across sales, technical support, training, and partners.

As the Regional Portfolio Manager, you will lead the Field Devices portfolio across ASEAN within the Smart Infrastructure Buildings team. In this strategic role, you will drive portfolio growth, market development, product lifecycle management, technical competency, and partner enablement, collaborating closely with country sales organizations, partners, consultants, contractors, OEMs, and end-users to accelerate business growth through a strong combination of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and strategic depth in sensors, control valves, and HVAC applications.

You’ll create impact by:

• Business Growth & Market Development: Driving revenue growth, profitability, and market share for the Field Devices portfolio across ASEAN. Identify and develop opportunities across priority verticals (commercial buildings, healthcare, data centers, industrial facilities, infrastructure), collaborating with country sales and partner managers to execute go-to-market plans and influence project specifications with consultants, MEP designers, system integrators, OEMs, and contractors.


• Partner & Customer Enablement: Acting as the regional technical expert for sensors, control valves, valve actuators, damper actuators, and associated field devices. Support country organizations and partners in pre-sales activities (application design, product selection, valve sizing, technical consultation, bid support), deliver training and technical workshops, and provide expert guidance for complex applications and technical issue resolution.


• Portfolio & Product Leadership: Owning and managing the regional Field Devices portfolio (sensors, valves, actuators, damper actuators, room devices, measuring instruments). Lead lifecycle management, new product introductions, launches, and phase-ins/outs. Analyze market requirements, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to define ASEAN portfolio requirements and provide structured input to global product management.


• Strategic Planning & Execution: Developing and executing regional portfolio growth strategies and business plans. Translate market intelligence into focused initiatives promoting sustainability, energy-efficiency, and digitalization outcomes, collaborating with regional management on forecasting, pricing, and strategic development.


• Performance Management & Collaboration: Monitoring key business metrics (revenue, profitability, market share, portfolio performance), drive corrective actions, and foster best-practice sharing and collaboration across sales, technical support, training, bid management, and partner networks.

Your Defining Qualities:

• Educational Background: University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Control Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.


• Extensive Experience: Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in HVAC controls, building automation, field devices, instrumentation, valves, actuators, or a related industry, backed by experience in technical sales, portfolio management, product management, application engineering, or business development (regional/multi-country ASEAN experience is a strong advantage).


• Technical Competencies: Strong technical knowledge of HVAC control systems, field-level control applications, and sensing technologies (temperature, humidity, pressure, flow, CO2, IAQ). Deep expertise in control valves (characteristics, authority, flow coefficient, PICV, hydronic balancing), valve/damper actuators, airside/waterside HVAC applications, and the ability to size/select devices and interpret technical specifications.


• Strategic & Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial mindset combined with technical credibility and strategic problem-solving skills to translate market intelligence into growth.


• Other Competency: Hands-on experience specifically in the application, sizing, and selection of sensors, pressure-independent control valves, control valves, valve actuators, and damper actuators, along with a track record of supporting consultants and system integrators during specification stages.


• Communication & Stakeholder Skills: Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, presentation, and communication skills. Fluent in English; additional ASEAN languages are an advantage.
