Job summary

Shellys Marketing in Malaysia is seeking a Store Operations Manager to oversee performance across multiple stores, ensuring high customer service standards and consistent visual merchandising.

You will partner with Area Managers to hit sales targets, monitor KPIs, and lead training programs for sales staff and store management, while supporting new store openings and loss prevention measures.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail store operations and team leadership.
• Ability to monitor KPIs and implement action plans.
• Familiar with visual merchandising standards and stock management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor sales, productivity, and performance KPIs across areas and stores.
• Work with Area Managers to develop and execute action plans to achieve 100% or above of sales targets.
• Identify underperforming stores and implement improvement strategies.
• Support new store openings with proper planning and merchandising.
• Ensure consistent customer service standards across all stores.
• Oversee implementation of marketing campaigns, promotional displays, and visual merchandising standards.
• Align store layouts & presentation to maximize customer engagement.
• Monitor frequency and quality of store visits by Area Managers and adjust as needed.
• Coordinate with teams to ensure the right product mix and stock levels.
• Review store profiles to match merchandise with customer preferences.
• Monitor stock availability, transfers, and promotional layouts.
• Provide feedback on inventory discrepancies and loss prevention measures.
• Lead and coach Area Managers, ensuring they are well-trained and aligned with company goals.
• Monitor staff performance and implement performance appraisals regularly.
• Ensure training programs are in place for sales staff, supervisors, and store management.
• Ensure proper onboarding, training, for store operations.
• Communicate regularly with the Retail Manager and HQ departments to align strategies.
• Attend regular meetings and ensure Area Managers are aligned with branding, HR, and operations updates.
• Perform other tasks, assignments, duties as assigned by superior from time to time.
