Job summary

Businesslist, Kuala Lumpur, is seeking a senior professional to partner with regional manufacturing and supply leadership to translate long-term growth plans into actionable strategies across Asia.

The role requires experience across multiple manufacturing sites, capacity planning and capability assessment, with focus on optimizing productivity, COGS and margins. Collaborative across Engineering, Operations and Finance teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, manufacturing excellence or operations excellence.
• Well versed with the FMCG industry
• Demonstrated understanding of plant KPIs, capacity, bottlenecks, productivity and operational losses.
• Exposure to Supply Network Design, manufacturing strategy, capacity planning or network optimisation.
• Experience working across multiple manufacturing sites, locations or product categories.
• Exposure to CapEx planning, make-versus-buy, sourcing, COGS or cost improvement will be highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical, commercial and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work across Business, Supply and Manufacturing.
• Regional / Asia Pacific experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Business and Supply leadership to translate long-term growth and innovation plans into manufacturing and supply strategy.
• Assess capacity, capabilities and bottlenecks across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Support Supply Network Design and manufacturing footprint optimisation across Asia.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant productivity, line efficiency and operational performance.
• Partner with Engineering and Operations teams on debottlenecking, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support make-versus-buy, sourcing and external manufacturing decisions.
• Develop and prioritise short-, medium- and long-term capital investment requirements.
• Drive initiatives to improve COGS, conversion costs, productivity and margin performance.
• Benchmark operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Act as a strategic partner across Supply, Business, Engineering, Finance and Plant leadership teams.
