Job summary

Malaysian Pacific Industries Berhad (MPI) seeks a Strategic HR Leader to helm HR strategy across Malaysia, Thailand, and China. This senior role reports to the Group Managing Director and partners with site HR teams to deliver workforce initiatives in a fast-growing, high-volume manufacturing environment.

You will shape workforce planning, talent acquisition, industrial relations, and compensation frameworks across three markets, with fluency in English and working knowledge of Thai/Chinese

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years progressive HR experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
• Experience across Malaysia, Thailand, and China is preferred.
• Strong background in industrial relations and labour standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive group-wide HR strategy across Malaysia, Thailand and China.
• Lead site/country HR teams to ensure consistent standards and local compliance.
• Oversee industrial relations and unions/worker representatives where applicable.
• Manage large-scale manufacturing workforces including foreign workers.
• Build regional talent acquisition for operator/technician and senior roles.
• Lead workforce planning, shifts, capacity, and succession planning.
• Design and govern a group compensation and benefits framework across markets.
• Drive HR digitalization and standardization (HRIS, analytics, digital service delivery).
• Foster a strong, unified group culture while respecting local identities.
